Dear Parents,

Attached you will find your student’s report card for the 1st Six Weeks.

We are excited to be introducing the Standards-Based Report Card this year which will give specific information about your student’s progress.

To help you understand clearly how the marking system is determined, please refer to the information below:


3 = Meets Grade Level Expectations of the State Standard

English Language Arts & Math Standards—Student correctly answering between 7-10 questions

Science & Social Studies Standards—Student correctly answering between 4-5 questions


2 = Progress Being Made Toward Grade Level Expectations of the State Standard

English Language Arts & Math Standards—Student correctly answering between 4-6 questions

Science & Social Studies Standards—Student correctly answering between 2-3 questions


1 = Area of Concern; Not Making Appropriate Progress

English Language Arts & Math Standards—Student correctly answering between 0-3 questions

Science & Social Studies Standards—Student correctly answering between 0-1 questions


Please sign your student’s report card and return to school. If you have any questions and would like to schedule a conference with your student’s teacher, please check the box on the report card labeled “Parent requests conference”.
